Sony A9

Loving My Sony A9

When I started out with photography, my first camera was the Sony A7. It was Sony’s first mirrorless camera in the market. I loved the camera’s amazing ability to take beautiful portraits and high definition videos.

However, as I transitioned to Sports Photography, the Sony A7 did not have the speed or power to keep up with the fast pace environment. Hence, I moved over to the Sony A9 which is my camera of choice at this time.

The Sony A9 as seen in my pictures, has an amazing 24.2-megapixel 35mm Full-Frame stacked CMOS sensor with a BIONZ X processing engine. For my sports photography, I rely greatly on the Sony A9’s high speed continuous shooting of up to 20fps with AF/AE tracking. My go to lens for portraits and events is the Sony E-Mount FE 24-70mm F2.8 G Master lens.

To help protect and provide me with the ability to add specific gadgets to my camera such as external light, Go Pro (yes a Gro Pro), etc., I have encased my Sony A9 with a Smallrig Light weight cage. In addition, for stability purposes, I have added an Altura Hand strap which keeps my hand steady for great and clear shots. Also on my camera are my Richer-R Clamp cable to hold my tethering cable when doing portraits and a TetherGuard Camara Support to keep my cables firm and attached.

Below are some great Amazon links that I mentioned in my blog today. Most importantly, the future is coming with the release of the Sony A9 III which is on my bucket list. One day!!
